Kawhi Leonard continued his offensive dominance in Monday’s 126-118 home win over the New York Knicks, extending his near-franchise-best 20-point game streak.
However, it was the seven-time All-Star’s crossover on Knicks forward OG Anunoby to end the first half that left the NBA world buzzing.

Kawhi Leonard Dazzles With His Handles in Clippers’ Statement Win Over Knicks
Leonard finished with a team-high 29 points, 7 rebounds, 8 assists, 2 steals, and 2 3-pointers, shooting an efficient 10-for-19 (52.6%) as LA (32-32) returned to .500 for the first time since Nov. 3 after its disastrous 6-21 start.
21 of Leonard’s points came in the first half, including arguably the highlight of the game to close out the second quarter. Upon getting pressed by Anunoby, his former teammate, at halfcourt, the two-time NBA champion proceeded to shake free with a series of dribble moves.
Leonard capped off the play with a crossover and step-back midrange jumper, leaving Anunoby, one of the league’s premier wing defenders, spinning and struggling to keep up as he buried the shot to give the Clippers a 62-51 lead.

With his 21-point first half, Leonard recorded his 42nd straight game with at least 20 points, the second-longest active streak in the NBA and third-longest in franchise history.
The oft-injured 34-year-old continues to prove his skeptics wrong, serving as one of the league’s most consistent offensive catalysts.
The Clippers have also received a major boost in wing scoring and playmaking from trade deadline acquisitions Bennedict Mathurin and Darius Garland. The duo combined for 51 points to supplement Leonard against New York.
In taking down the Eastern Conference’s No. 3 seed (41-25), LA improved to 4-0 with Garland in the lineup.
“I love that we are competing,” Leonard said postgame when asked what he “likes the most about how [the Clippers] are playing.”
“No matter where we are in the standings, we’re just competing every night and just playing basketball and having fun.”
