Julius Erving is one of the most beloved players in all of NBA history.
The Philadelphia 76ers legend still keeps a very active profile on social media, with posts coming from his Instagram account nearly every week (he has over 400,000 followers).
This past week, Erving spent time in Los Angeles for All-Star weekend.
Julius Erving Sends Heartfelt Message To Barack Obama
Following the weekend of festivities, Erving made a post to Instagram with former President Barack Obama.
There were over 39,000 likes on his post.
George Karl, the Philadelphia 76ers, Malika Andrews, Mark Jackson and Jerry Stackhouse were among the people around the NBA world to like his post.
Erving wrote: “Always special to visit with former President Barack Obama @barackobama and former First Lady Michelle Obama @michelleobama. No one cares more about America than them. What a privilege and a blessing to have that honor bestowed upon me. -Doc”
Erving began his pro career playing in the ABA for the Virginia Squires and New York Nets.
Over his ABA career, he had averages of 28.7 points, 12.1 rebounds, 4.8 assists, 2.4 steals and 2.0 blocks per contest while shooting 50.4% from the field and 32.2% from three-point range in 407 games.

He won two titles with the Nets before going to the NBA to play 11 seasons with the Philadelphia 76ers.
With the 76ers, Erving won the 1983 NBA Championship over Magic Johnson and the Los Angeles Lakers.
He spent all 11 NBA seasons in Philadelphia, averaging 22.0 points, 6.7 rebounds, 3.9 assists, 1.8 steals and 1.5 blocks per contest while shooting 50.7% from the field and 26.1% from three-point range in 836 games.

The 76ers have been unable to win a title since Erving was on their roster.
Despite having Allen Iverson, Joel Embiid, Jimmy Butler and others, the franchise has had their postseason struggles.
