LeBron James is one of the best ten players in NBA history.
That said, the Los Angeles Lakers superstar has been out with an injury to start the season.
He is coming off a year where he had averages of 24.4 points, 7.8 rebounds, 8.2 assists and 1.0 steals per contest while shooting 51.3% from the field and 37.6% from three-point range in 70 games.
Charles Barkley Speaks About Lakers Star LeBron James
Recently, Phoenix Suns legend (and Basketball Hall of Famer) Charles Barkley spoke about James.
Barkley (via Jim Rome): “Father time always gonna win. There’s nothing you can do about it… They said sciatica. They could have just wrote old. It’s the exact same thing. All old people’s back hurt… I hope he leaves sooner than later, because I hate to see great players out there struggling… I don’t want to see great players just hanging on. I would love to see him have a farewell tour.”
Right now, the Lakers have been able to do well without James in the lineup.
They have relied on Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves to lead them to a 6-2 record, which has them as the third seed in the Western Conference.
On Wednesday night, the Lakers will host Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs.
