Tyrese Halliburton’s Triple-Double Gets NBA Experts Talking

The Pacers came out fast and aggressive in Game 4, scoring 43 points in the first quarter. That was their highest-scoring quarter in playoff history, and it set the tone for the rest of the game. Haliburton was at the center of it all. He finished with 32 points, 15 assists, 12 rebounds, four steals, and no turnovers.

Fans and analysts immediately reacted to the stat line. NBA contributor for Forbes, Evan Sidery, called it “a true superstar performance.”

“Tyrese Haliburton with an incredible triple-double outing in Game 4,” Sidery wrote. “A true superstar performance from Haliburton with the Indiana Pacers unbelievably now only one win away from the NBA Finals.”

Veteran sports columnist Skip Bayless, known for his sharp takes, didn’t hold back either. “Haliburton was a SUPERSTAR tonight,” he posted. “Just can’t understand why he has the occasional no-show game.”

Many fans focused on the fact that Haliburton had 15 assists with zero turnovers. That kind of efficiency is rare, especially in a playoff game.

The X account GoldenKnight summed it perfectly writing:

“Hali is SPECIAL.”

Sidery pointed out another key stat that spoke volumes of Haliburton’s brilliance.

“Tyrese Haliburton is the first player in NBA postseason history to have a game with 30+ points, 15+ assists, 10+ rebounds, and zero turnovers,” he added. “So much for being overrated.”

It was clear Haliburton had silenced any doubts. His decision-making, pace, and shot selection all stood out. He was aggressive without forcing anything and found open teammates all night.

ESPN’s Tim Bontemps also praised the performance. “Final: Pacers 130, Knicks 121,” he wrote. “Tyrese Haliburton had a game for the ages… as Indiana moves within one win of a return to the NBA Finals for the first time in 25 years.”

Despite Halliburton’s rampage, New York had some fight left, especially from Jalen Brunson. The Knicks guard scored 31 points, hit 11-of-12 from the free-throw line, and added five assists. But his night was overshadowed by the Pacers’ hot start and the crowd chanting “flopper” while he stood at the line in the third quarter.

The Knicks now head back to Madison Square Garden down 3-1 in the series. Brunson will need more help if New York wants to extend the series. Meanwhile, Haliburton and the Pacers are just one win away from the NBA Finals – something fans have waited for decades to witness
