As he nears the end of the season, he has become only the second player, after Michael Jordan, to record 500+ points, 100+ rebounds, 100+ assists, and 30+ steals in a single month, a feat that underscores both his hard work and dominance.

The Slovenian star has cemented himself as one of the most prolific offensive powerhouses in the ongoing season, leading the Los Angeles Lakers to a 48-26 record. He and his team, currently third in the Western Conference, are firmly positioned for a 2026 NBA playoff berth. Dončić, who has been leading the league in scoring, played against the Brooklyn Nets, piling up 41 points in just 39 minutes of play.
That also paved the way for a rare milestone achievement: recording 500+ points, 100+ rebounds, 100+ assists, and 30+ steals in a single month. The last time this was accomplished was during the 1988–89 season.

Dončić also matched Jordan’s 1986 stat line by averaging at least 40 points over a six-game road span. The 27-year-old notched at least 30 points in 12 games in a row.
One of the top prospects for the MVP honor, Dončić faced a setback amid a season that stands as a testament to his remarkable consistency. He had been walking a fine line for quite some time, committing foul after foul but narrowly escaping consequences each time, until the Lakers vs. Nets game on March 27.
The Slovenian and Nets forward Ziaire Williams exchanged words and shoved each other after the former received an offensive foul with 5:12 remaining in the third quarter. It was the 16th technical foul for the Lakers leader, which automatically led to a one-game suspension without pay.
He will not be in action for the Lakers vs. Washington Wizards game on March 30. In their recent meetings, the LA team has consistently come out on top, with their last matchup taking place on Jan. 30, 2026. In the top scorer’s absence, a lot of pressure will be on Austin Reaves and LeBron James’ shoulders.
Dončić was second on the MVP ladder last week, but his sudden drop to fourth didn’t sit well with him. During a press conference, he addressed the matter and wondered what more he could do to improve himself, besides being the leading scorer and the most consistent player this season.
“Yeah, hopefully, but the better I play, the more I go down in ratings, so I don’t know what more I can do.”
