On Tuesday evening, Luka Doncic and the Los Angeles Lakers will play their first game of the 2025-26 season when they square off against the Golden State Warriors (at home).
Doncic is going into his first full year as a member of the franchise.

Before the game, Doncic was asked about Curry (h/t Spectrum SportsNet).
Doncic: “Going against Steph is very exciting… Very hard to guard him. He’s moving all the time, he can shoot from anywhere. I feel like it’s hard, but also exciting. Going against a player like that is very exciting.”

The Lakers will have their hands full with Curry, Jimmy Butler and Draymond Green.
They will be with Doncic (but without four-time NBA Champion LeBron James).

Curry and the Warriors are coming off a year where they lost to the Minnesota Timberwolves in the second round of the 2025 NBA playoffs.
Following the Lakers, they will play the Denver Nuggets on Thursday (in San Francisco).
On the other side, Doncic and the Lakers finished last year as the third seed in the Western Conference.
However, they lost to the Timberwolves in the first round of the NBA playoffs.
Following Golden State, the Lakers will continue action on Friday when they host the Timberwolves in Los Angeles.
