LeBron James vs. Kawhi Leonard: Comparing the Los Angeles Superstars’ Stats and Accolades

When the 2026 NBA All-Star Game matches the USA against the World in a round-robin format, Kawhi Leonard of the Los Angeles Clippers and LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers will be on the Team USA Stripes squad. James, however, was not named an All-Star starter for the first time in 21 appearances

Looking at their statistics and accolades throughout their NBA careers, both Leonard and James have produced remarkable results, underscoring their continued All-Star recognition.

Leonard’s numbers this season stand out. In the 2025-26 NBA regular season, he’s averaging 27.9 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 3.7 assists while shooting 49.1%.

Leonard was a first-round draft pick (No. 15 overall) by the Indiana Pacers out of San Diego State in the 2011 NBA Draft. On Wednesday night, his 19-point fourth quarter helped the Clippers beat the Houston Rockets 105-102 in Houston.

He’s a two-time NBA champion with the San Antonio Spurs and Toronto Raptors, a two-time NBA Finals MVP, a six-time All-Star, a member of the 2011-12 All-Rookie Team, an All-Star Game MVP in the 2019-20 season, a seven-time All-Defensive Team honoree, a two-time Defensive Player of the Year, and a member of the NBA 75th Anniversary Team.

In his career, Leonard has 15,876 regular-season points between his tenures with the Spurs, Raptors, and Clippers. He has 3,133 postseason points, giving him 19,009 overall.

For the 2025-26 season, Leonard has scored 1,143 points for the Clippers.

Now, turning to James, the high school phenom out of Akron, Ohio, who was the No. 1 overall draft choice by the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2003 NBA Draft. For the 2025-26 season, James is averaging 21.8 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 6.9 assists while shooting 50.2%.

James is a four-time NBA champion, winning one with the Cavaliers, two with the Miami Heat, and one with the Lakers. He’s a four-time NBA Finals MVP, a 21-time All-Star, a 21-time All-NBA Team member, and a three-time All-Star Game MVP.

He was also the 2003-04 NBA Rookie of the Year, is a six-time All-Defensive Team member, a four-time NBA MVP, the 2023-24 In-Season Tournament MVP, and a member of the NBA 75th Anniversary Team.

In his career, James has 42,947 regular-season points with the Cavaliers, Heat, and Lakers. He has 8,289 postseason points, giving him 51,236 overall.

For the 2025-26 NBA regular season, James has 763 total points so far.

This year’s NBA All-Star Game features, besides the USA Stripes team, a USA Stars team and the World team. After all three teams play in a round-robin competition of three 12-minute quarters, the top two teams will meet for the All-Star Championship in Sunday’s final

Fans can watch on NBC and Peacock as the NBA’s best players take the court. The games will be held at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, Calif.
