LeBron James’ Son, Bronny, Unfollows Adin Ross After Streamer Slams Lakers Superstar in Viral Clip

Bronny James unfollowed longtime friend Adin Ross after the streamer publicly blasted LeBron James, fracturing their relationship over family loyalty.

Friendship loyalties collided with family bonds when Bronny James quietly unfollowed longtime friend Adin Ross on social media. The Lakers guard’s decision came after Ross launched a brutal attack on LeBron James during a live stream, calling the NBA legend a “piece of s***” for dancing to a Kendrick Lamar diss track aimed at Drake.

What started as criticism over a vacation video has now fractured a relationship years in the making, showing how quickly personal boundaries can shift when family gets involved.

Why Did Adin Ross’s LeBron James Criticism Push Bronny Too Far?

The drama unfolded after LeBron was spotted vacationing in Cannes, France, with his wife, Savannah. In a viral video that spread across social media, he’s seen vibing to Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us,” a diss track aimed at LeBron’s longtime friend Drake.

Ross wasted no time launching his attack on the NBA legend, calling him a “piece of s***” for dancing along to the song. The harsh words clearly struck a nerve with Bronny, who quietly unfollowed the streamer on social media. Some reports suggest he re-followed Ross shortly afterward, but the initial gesture alone showed how much the comments affected him.

The streamer claimed he had long admired LeBron as a role model and fan but felt baffled by his dance moves, accusing the NBA champion of disloyalty. Ross said, “You know what’s crazy about this chat, you know, as I’ve loved LeBron like my whole life, it’s like you just see how much of like a piece of s*** human he is, bro. Like guys, imagine your best friend for like 15 years and he’s met his actual children, like, you know what I’m trying to say?”

Referencing LeBron and Drake’s 15-year friendship, Ross continued his rant by asking his audience, “How can you respect someone that has no loyalty to someone he has known for 15 years?”

The tension between Bronny and Ross carries extra weight due to their long-standing, close friendship, which has spanned several years. Ross built much of his early fame playing NBA2K with Bronny, gradually growing his audience on Twitch. While his eccentric personality helped attract viewers, Bronny’s connection proved equally vital to his rise.

Bronny was part of the “Always Excelling” group that streamed together regularly around 2020. Despite Ross clarifying that his rant had nothing to do with Bronny personally, the unfollowing clearly signals cracks forming in their bond.

What Makes Ross’s Pattern of Controversies So Damaging?

This latest incident adds to Ross’s lengthy history of social media controversies. Despite his rising popularity, his career has been marked by repeated clashes and platform violations.

Twitch has banned him multiple times, starting in April 2021 after a guest used a homophobic slur during his stream. The bans continued in April 2022 for “hateful slurs and symbols” on his live stream. By February 2023, his account was permanently banned for broadcasting unmoderated, hateful chat content; however, it was reinstated in March 2025.

Beyond platform violations, his associations with controversial figures have drawn criticism. Most notably, he streamed with Andrew Tate after Tate’s 2022 arrest, facing backlash from fellow creators like Ludwig Ahgren for not challenging Tate’s misogynistic views during their interviews.

The controversies reached another low point during a March 2023 livestream when Ross told fellow streamer Hasan Piker to “kill yourself” after receiving criticism.

Ross’s pattern of inflammatory content and controversial associations has created a digital trail of conflicts, making Bronny’s quiet unfollow just the latest casualty in his turbulent online presence.
