As the offseason goes on, questions remain about LeBron James’ limited future in the league. While James’ agent and Klutch Sports CEO Rich Paul said earlier this month that four teams have reached out to secure the 39-year-old forward, it appears James’ time in Los Angeles isn’t over yet.
When asked about his future by reporter Dave McMenamin, James replied, “I ain’t got nothing to talk about.” His latest courtside appearance at the Lakers’ Summer League game suggests that things are still good between him and the franchise. And with James smiling on the sidelines with his daughter, Lakers fans can breathe a little easier.
LeBron James Joyous on the Sidelines As Lakers Secure the Win
The summer has been pivotal for LeBron and the two other hoopers in the family. While Bronny James competes in his second Summer League, he is starting to come into his own. His younger brother, Bryce, graduated from High School in May.
So while the rumors around James’ future swirl, there is no question that he will continue to support the franchise as long as Bronny plays in Los Angeles. The entire James gang was at the Lakers’ Summer League game against rivals the Los Angeles Clippers.

While James’ wife, Savannah, enjoyed the view from her seat, his daughter Zhuri was seen in high spirits as she showed off her hands to her dad. Although James has played alongside greats such as Kyrie Irving, his daughter also finds joy in the sport he loves, which must mean a lot to the four-time champion.
Bronny felt the support of the family, scoring 17 points, the Lakers’ game-high. Although this marked a strong scoring performance, Bronny has also proven his worth in the Summer League with his defense.

In their first game of the Summer League, Bronny went up against Cooper Flagg’s Dallas Mavericks. And while the No. 1 overall pick has proven to be a handful for many, including LeBron’s 2024 Olympics squad, Bronny did a fine job on the rookie who finished the game 5-21 from the field.
Although dad LeBron James’ future with the Lakers could be short-lived, Bronny is making sure he establishes that he is here to stay. With the guard showing flashes of what he is capable of in the league, his predicted upside as a 3-and-D player in the NBA is now beginning to show.
