Lakers Superstar Luka Dončić No Longer Has NBA’s Best-Selling Jersey Thanks to $215,353,664 All-Star

According to a recent report, a veteran NBA superstar has dethroned Luka Dončić from the top-selling jersey list.

The NBA is always more than just the basketball games. Fans arrive at the venue for a complete experience, some of which includes official team merchandise, food, and good seats. Every year, the NBA releases a few numbers on its merchandise sales, including the top-selling jerseys from the season’s first half. Last season, Los Angeles Lakers star Luka Dončić topped the sales.

However, according to a recent update, Dončić has been dethroned as the player with the most jersey sales.

Veteran Superstar Dethrones Luka Dončić on 2025-26 Season’s Jersey Sales List

The Slovenian star’s sales were so iconic that he became the first-ever player, aside from teammate LeBron James or Golden State Warriors icon Stephen Curry, to lead jersey sales since the 2012-13 regular season.

Carmelo Anthony had the highest sales for the 2012-13 campaign. This time, though, Curry managed to surpass Dončić again.

According to NBA.com’s current jersey sales list for the first half of the 2025-26 season, Curry is currently leading again, followed by Dončić and Jalen Brunson. James, usually in the top three or so, has sunk down to the No. 5 spot.

Top-Selling NBA Jerseys List for 2025-26 Season’s First Half

  1. Stephen Curry – Golden State Warriors
  2. Lula Dončić – Los Angeles Lakers
  3. Jalen Brunson — New York Knicks
  4. Victor Vembanyama — San Antonio Spurs
  5. LeBron James — Los Angeles Lakers
  6. Anthony Edwards — Minnesota Timberwolves
  7. Shal Gilgeous-Alexander — Oklahoma City Thunder
  8. Jayson Tatum — Boston Celtics
  9. Nikola Jokić — Denver Nuggets
  10. Tyrese Maxey — Philadelphia 76ers
  11. Cooper Flagg — Dallas Mavericks
  12. Kevin Durant — Houston Rockets
  13. Giannis Antetokounmpo — Milwaukee Bucks
  14. Cade Cunningham — Detroit Pistons
  15. Donovan Mitchell — Cleveland Cavaliers

Curry is currently signed to a four-year, $215,353,664 maximum veteran extension with the Warriors.

Interestingly, nine players from the sales list have been selected as All-Stars for the upcoming 2026 NBA All-Star game scheduled on Sunday, February 15, at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California.

Furthermore, Mavericks rookie Flagg and Cunningham made their debuts on the list. The list also features five international players, Dončić leading the way with No. 2.

Having said that, the Lakers remain the franchise that sells the most merchandise. While sales depend on popularity, the size of the basketball market also matters.

Top-Selling NBA Merchandise by Team

  1. Los Angeles Lakers
  2. New York Knicks
  3. Golden State Warriors
  4. San Antonio Spurs
  5. Philadelphia 76ers
  6. Boston Celtics
  7. Minnesota Timberwolves
  8. Oklahoma City Thunder
  9. Dallas Mavericks
  10. Denver Nuggets.

Despite their success last season, teams like the Indiana Pacers rarely make the list. This includes smaller markets like the Pistons or the Charlotte Hornets.

And while few have been able to claim the top spot from a four-time championship winner like Curry, there’s still a chance that the playoffs tip the scale in Dončić’s favor once again.
