On Thursday, the Lakers lost 118-89 against the Bucks at home. Los Angeles was depleted due to injuries to star players like Luka Dončić and James. This was a perfect opportunity for the young Bronny to make his mark on the game.

Bronny played 30 minutes against the Bucks and registered his career-high 17 points, three rebounds, and five assists. After the game, Redick highlighted to the media that Bronny impressed him during one of his interviews while at the Combine.

“I texted Bron in May. I was not the coach,” Redick said. “I was an NBA analyst and podcaster at that time, and I texted Bron [LeBron], and I was like, ‘Man, Bronny has his head on straight, like he gets it.’

“And since Day 1, I have just been impressed with the person that he is, and to deal with frankly, bulls**t because of who his dad is and just keep a level head about it, and be a class act, says a lot about him, says a lot about that family and the way Savannah and LeBron have raised him.”

There has been much controversy regarding Bronny’s place in the NBA after splitting time between the Lakers and their G League affiliate. However, the head coach pointed out that he believes the 20-year-old is an NBA-caliber player.

    Bronny Highlights His Mental Strength

Undoubtedly, being the son of the biggest names in the world is a difficult task. And Bronny felt that head-on as his father confronted ESPN’s sports analyst Stephen A. Smith courtside to defend his son.

However, after the Bucks game, the youngster highlighted to the media how he handles the barrage of criticism thrown at him.

“My first thought about everything is I always try to just let it go through one ear and out the other, put my head down, and come to work and be positive every day,” he said.

“But sometimes it just, it fuels me a little bit. I see everything that people are saying, and people think, like, I’m a f–king robot, like I don’t have any feelings or emotions.”

The Lakers will face the Chicago Bulls on Saturday, March 22. LeBron is expected to unite with his son and return to the court for this game.
