In a viral social media video, Timothée Chalamet can be seen interacting with the Knicks fans after historic Game 6 win against the Celtics.

When the New York Knicks entered the 2025 NBA playoffs with a strong (51-31) record, they weren’t just hoping to make noise—they were going for a spot in the Finals. In the first round, they handled the Detroit Pistons in six games (4-2), but it was their second-round series that truly ignited the city.

Facing the Boston Celtics, the Knicks stunned the league by eliminating them in another (4-2) battle, punching their ticket to the Eastern Conference Finals for the first time in 25 years.

But while the Garden was packed with electricity during Game 6, it was a moment outside the arena that had social media buzzing.

Timothée Chalamet Hypes Up the Knicks Fans

After the final buzzer sounded and fans poured out of Madison Square Garden, someone else was spotted soaking in the victory: Timothée Chalamet. The “Dune” and “Call Me By Your Name” star, who had been a fixture courtside for the last four games of the Celtics series, was seen outside the arena in a fan-recorded video that quickly went viral.

In the clip filmed near Entrance C on 33rd Street, Chalamet is sitting in the backseat of a black SUV, surrounded by swarms of excited Knicks fans. Instead of driving off, the actor surprised everyone by popping halfway out of the car window, flashing a huge grin, and high-fiving fans as they reached for him like he was part of the victory parade.

Despite being grabbed by the crowd, Chalamet seemed unfazed, laughing, interacting, and clearly enjoying the chaos.

He didn’t look flustered, even as Knicks fans, hyped up from one of the franchise’s most significant wins in decades, enthusiastically reached into the car to celebrate with him. It was less of a red-carpet moment and more of a city-wide hug from New York itself.

Chalamet had been a regular presence courtside throughout the series, including at Game 6, where he was spotted sitting next to global music superstar Bad Bunny.

The duo’s appearance caused a stir, not just because of their fame, but because of the intertwined celebrity web. Bad Bunny, who is linked to Kendall Jenner, the older sister of Kylie Jenner, who has been in a relationship with Chalamet for nearly two years now.

Other Celebrities Present During Game 6 of Knicks vs. Celtics

As mentioned previously, Chalamet has been a familiar face courtside throughout the Knicks’ second-round playoff series. In Game 4, he made headlines by attending with his girlfriend Jenner, drawing plenty of attention as the couple watched the action unfold from the stands.

However, it was Game 6 that truly brought out the star power. A-listers packed Madison Square Garden, turning it into a hotspot of celebrity presence.

Comedian Pete Davidson and model Elsie Hewitt were seen enjoying the game while legendary director and Knicks superfan Spike Lee brought his usual courtside energy.
