On Saturday night, the Dallas Mavericks played the Memphis Grizzlies (at home) in Texas.
The Mavs lost by a score of 102-96.
Klay Thompson finished the loss with 22 points and one rebound while shooting 7/17 from the field and 6/12 from three-point range in 28 minutes of playing time.
Klay Thompson Makes Feelings Clear About Memphis Grizzlies
After the game, Thompson made a brutally honest statement about the Grizzlies (h/t Noah Weber of The Smoking Cuban).
Thompson: “I actually do have a lot of respect for the Grind House. Mike Conley, Zach Randolph and Marc Gasol… This new team though, I don’t know man. They just talk a lot. They’ve always talked a lot. They’ve never really backed it up either… I respect guys who back up the talk with play, because talk is cheap.”

Thompson had many battles with both eras of the Grizzlies as a member of the Golden State Warriors.
He is currently in his second season with the Mavs, and is averaging 10.1 points, 2.4 rebounds and 1.6 assists per contest while shooting 34.7% from the field and 32.1% from three-point range in 17 games.
With the loss, the Mavs dropped to 5-13 in 18 games, which has them as the 13th seed in the Western Conference.
They have gone just 4-9 in the 13 games they have played at home.
On Monday night, the Mavs will resume action when they visit the Miami Heat in Florida.
As for the Grizzlies, they improved to 6-11 in 17 games, which has them as the 10th seed in the Western Conference.
They have won two in a row.
