Kevin Durant spoke about Victor Wembanyama after the Rockets lost to the Spurs.

On Wednesday evening, the San Antonio Spurs played the Rockets in Houston.

The Spurs won by a score of 111-99.

Victor Wembanyama finished with 28 points, 16 rebounds, three assists, two steals and five blocks while shooting 8/15 from the field and 0/3 from three-point range in 29 minutes of playing time.

Kevin Durant Made His Feelings Clear About Victor Wembanyama

After the game, 2014 MVP Kevin Durant spoke about the Spurs star.

Durant (via Lachard Binkley of OnSI): “His jump shots getting better, his instincts of the game is getting better, his fundamentals are getting better… For the rest of his career, he is going to be guarded with physical defense and with two or three guys.”

Wembanyama is in his third season after being selected with the first pick in the 2023 NBA Draft.

He is currently averaging 24.3 points, 11.2 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 2.7 blocks per contest while shooting 50.6% from the field and 37.0% from three-point range in 33 games.

On the other side, Durant finished the loss with 24 points, two rebounds, six assists and one block while shooting 8/17 from the field and 2/4 from three-point range in 36 minutes of playing time.

He is in his first season playing for the Rockets.

They will visit the Atlanta Hawks on Thursday night in Georgia.
