One thing that stands out with Durant’s account is that, unlike many other celebrities and superstars, is actually engages with users.

This week, Durant was back at it, this time finding himself involved in a back-and-forth with rapper Lil B (also known as Lil B The BasedGod). This is not the first time the NBA superstar and well-known California musician have bumped heads, with the recent X exchange the latest incident in what has been a long and drawn-out feud between the two.

Kevin Durant Fires Back at Lil B After Rapper Claims NBA Superstar Has ‘No Real Paper’

Durant’s Phoenix Suns missed out on the postseason this year but the forward has been keeping an eye on the playoffs and talking basketball on social media.

On Sunday night, Lil B reignited their feud with an X post claiming the 15-time NBA All-Star had ‘no real paper’ and even challenged him to a game of basketball.

“Kevin Durant really ain’t bout no basketball s*** yo ain’t got no real paper you really just a h* pull up whenever u ready any basketball court on earth I mean that im waiting for you – Lil B”

Lil B previously challenged Durant to a one-on-one game back in 2012, a point he confirmed during an appearance on ESPN’s “The Jump” back in 2016. In the same interview, he also claimed that he had put a curse on the NBA superstar.

Lil B’s comment comes on the day Durant was involved in a blockbuster trade to the Houston Rockets. The Suns received Jalen Green, Dillon Brooks, the 10th pick in the 2025 NBA Draft, and five second-round picks in exchange for the two-time champion.

Durant wasn’t about to take the jab lying down. He responded to the message by calling the rapper ‘broke’ and implied that he was irrelevant.

“Broke boy asking for a feature in my DM..u wouldn’t be able to get a shot off on me lil one, you was once a thing, I’m still that.”

It may not be wise to call out Durant on his net worth. The 36-year-old signed a colossal four-year, $194,219,320 contract in 2021 and is set to earn $54,708,609 next season. Per Spotrac, he has amassed over $447 million in salary since breaking into the league in 2007. That figure does not include his numerous endorsements or his earnings through his investments.
