Keon Ellis Fantasy Outlook: Should You Draft the Sacramento Kings Shooting Guard This Year?

Should you draft Keon Ellis in fantasy basketball this year? Latest fantasy projection for the Sacramento Kings shooting guard.

It’s the final weekend before the NBA regular season begins, which means you’re coming here for your fantasy basketball drafts.

Should you draft Keon Ellis this season? Here’s the latest outlook, projections, and rankings for the Sacramento Kings Shooting Guard.

Should You Draft Keon Ellis in Fantasy Basketball?

Keon Ellis enters the 2025-26 NBA season coming off his best statistical year yet. In 80 games, he averaged 8.3 points, 2.7 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 1.5 steals, and 0.8 blocks on efficient shooting splits (48.9% FG, 43.3% 3PT, and 84.9% FT). In 28 starts last season, Ellis averaged 9.8 points, 3.3 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 2.1 steals, 2.0 3-pointers, and 0.9 blocks in 31 minutes per game on impressive 48.7/44.2/83.3 shooting splits.

Ellis is projected to start for the Kings, so he is an intruiging late-round target for fantasy managers in category leagues given his steals, 3-pointers, and efficient shooting. However, it’s worth noting that Ellis may face stiffer competition for minutes from newscomers Dennis Schröder and Russell Westbrook, plus returning sixth man Malik Monk. If he retains a regular rotation spot (playing 25-28 minutes per game), he is a high-upside 3-and-D contributor.

Ellis is largely going undrafted in fantasy drafts right now, and he’s a sneaky late-round flier in category leagues (especially if you need steals and shooting help). Even if you don’t draft Ellis, keep an eye on him as a potential waiver-wire target or streaming option.
