Throughout his career, Towns has made plenty of money thanks to his elite offensive skill set.

How Much Money Has Karl-Anthony Towns Made Throughout His Career?

So far, Towns has earned $231,525,020 over the course of his career. According to Celebrity Net Worth, his personal net worth is estimated to be somewhere around $70 million.

Selected as the No. 1 overall pick by the Minnesota Timberwolves in the 2015 NBA Draft, Towns inked a four-year, $25.7 million rookie contract.

During his time with the Timberwolves, he emerged as an All-Star in 2017-18 and eventually helped lead the team back to the postseason for the first time since the 2004-05 season. Not only that, along with the help of fellow No. 1 overall pick, Anthony Edwards, they later led the Timberwolves to the 2024 NBA Western Conference Finals. They eventually lost that series 4-1 to the Dallas Mavericks.

His early-career performance earned him a massive five-year, $158.25 million contract extension in 2019, cementing him as one of the highest-paid players in the league.

Towns went on to have his best statistical season in 2019-20, averaging 26.5 points and 10.8 rebounds on 50.8% shooting from the field. However, he played just 35 games as the season was shortened due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In the 2020-21 season, Towns appeared in 50 games, missing 13 after contracting COVID-19.

In 2022, he signed another significant contract extension, inking a four-year deal worth $220.4 million despite missing most of the 2022-23 season due to a torn meniscus.

After nine seasons with the Timberwolves, Towns was traded to the Knicks in the 2024 offseason for Julius Randle, Donte DiVincenzo, Keita Bates-Diop, and a first-round pick, marking a new chapter in both his career and for the Knicks moving forward.

The Knicks are hoping Towns can be the missing piece to push them over the top after last year’s breakthrough season, when they advanced to the second round of the playoffs before falling to the Indiana Pacers.
