Julius Randle’s Wife, Kendra Randle, Reveals Battle With Postpartum Depression

Nearly 13% of women worldwide suffer from postpartum depression after giving birth. In some countries, that number can go upwards of 20%, with the United States among them.

In an Instagram story attached alongside a selfie in front of the mirror, Kendra Randle detailed her journey over the last few weeks. “3 week PPD. Emotional rollercoaster but proud that my body birthed 3 beautiful babies.”

Romi Joelle joined the family three weeks back, with the Timberwolves star putting a heartfelt message to introduce her to the world. “You got daddy’s heart. Two big brothers that will always protect you. And the perfect example in mommy to look up to,” Randle wrote. “We love you princess.”

She is the third child welcomed into the family, after Kyden was born in December of 2016, before Jaycey joined the party in October of 2021. The parents have been very involved in their kids’ lives, with updates on social media, especially courtesy of Kendra, a near-constant presence.

During his five-year stint with the New York Knicks, their eldest son became a fan favorite thanks to his antics on the sidelines, particularly where his father was concerned. Even their two-year-old, Jaycey, has occasionally been to games with his father.

Speaking of games for his father, the Los Angeles Lakers draftee finds himself facing a tall order ahead. After eliminating his former team in the first round of the playoffs thanks to some excellent individual play on his end, the next challenge came in the form of the Golden State Warriors.

However, after dropping game one, where he had a 4-for-11 shooting night for just 18 points, the pressure is on the Timberwolves to rally back into the series.

An MCL sprain to Stephen Curry that should keep him out for the next couple of games, at a minimum, does give Minnesota a major advantage. Now, it’s going to be on Randle to capitalize with four cheerleaders behind him.
