It’s the final weekend before the NBA regular season begins, which means you’re coming here for your fantasy basketball drafts.
Should you draft Julius Randle this season? Here’s the latest outlook, projections, and rankings for the Minnesota Timberwolves Power Forward.

Should You Draft Julius Randle in Fantasy Basketball?
Julius Randle was nearly a 50-40-80 shooter after the All Star Break last season while also seeing a surge in his assist numbers.
Was it real?
I’m worried, even at a price tag that seems reasonable.
The ‘Wolves aren’t exactly loaded with secondary options next to Anthony Edwards and that keeps the usage floor elevated, but I’m generally of a less-is-more opinion when it comes to Randle.
His PER and defensive rebound rate have decreased in consecutive seasons while his turnover percentage in 2025 was his highest since his time with the Lakers. The jump shot is inconsistent on a good day and with the ball in Edwards’ hands as much as it is, I tend to think there is more room for regression than growth in the play-making departments.
The good will be really good (remember the five-game series against the Warriors last season where he averaged 25.2 points and made 63.5% of his 2PA?), but given their ADP’s, I’d rather bet on the young pups in this offense (Rob Dillingham and/or Terrence Shannon Jr.) to drift off of Edwards than pass on players like Brandon Miller or Payton Pritchard that have their best fantasy days ahead of them for the rights to Randle.
