Julius Randle Contract, Salary, and Career Earnings: How Much Is the Timberwolves Star Earning After Massive Payday?

Julius Randle has redefined his career with impressive postseason performance in his first season with the Timberwolves, fetching himself a big bag.

Julius Randle helped the Minnesota Timberwolves make back-to-back Western Conference Finals appearances after missing out on playoff success with the New York Knicks. The former first-round pick averaged 20+ points in his last four seasons with the Knicks, making it to the postseason twice but never going past the Conference Semifinals.

Randle has become a key figure in the Timberwolves’ locker room as the team continues its push for an NBA championship. Better performance has earned the three-time NBA All-Star lucrative pay.

Breaking Down Julius Randle’s Contract With the Timberwolves

Minnesota has reached an agreement on a deal to keep Randle under contract through 2028, doubling down on his value to the franchise. ESPN’s Shams Charania confirms through an X post that Randle intends to sign an extension.

Charania wrote, ”BREAKING: Three-time NBA All-Star Julius Randle intends to sign a new three-year, $100 million deal to stay with the Minnesota Timberwolves, sources tell ESPN. The deal includes a player option for the 2027-28 season.”

Randle arrived in Minneapolis last summer from the New York Knicks, widely viewed as a salary-dump addition in the Karl-Anthony Towns trade. Instead, he became a key offensive engine, reshaping the Timberwolves’ attack with his strength, decision-making, and inside-out versatility.

Across 15 total playoff games during his tenure with the Knicks, Randle averaged 17.3 points, 9.95 rebounds, and 3.8 assists, offering consistent production despite falling short of a deep postseason run.

In the 2024–25 playoffs with the Timberwolves, Randle elevated his game significantly, posting 21.7 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 4.9 assists per game while shooting an efficient 50.2% from the field. This marked a notable improvement in his scoring efficiency and playmaking, reflecting growth from his previous postseason struggles.

Minnesota locked in Randle with a long-term deal because players with his offensive skills are rare. The contract rewards his recent growth and bets on further improvement. If he maintains his form, then the Timberwolves could have the missing piece for a title run. If not, then they risk agreeing to an expensive contract with little return.

Julius Randle’s Net Worth

Since being drafted No. 7 overall by the Los Angeles Lakers in 2014, Randle has consistently increased his career earnings, accumulating just under $164.5 million in NBA contracts alone. His financial success has come through years of development, making the leap from a young prospect with potential to an established All-Star.

According to Celebrity Net Worth, Randle’s net worth is estimated to be around $50 million. That figure includes his NBA salary and endorsement income, but a large part of his wealth also comes from smart real estate investments.

Beyond his NBA salary, he has secured endorsement deals with popular brands like Mountain Dew, Levi’s, Celsius, JD Sports, and Nike, further increasing his financial portfolio.

In October 2023, he signed a multi-year endorsement deal with Sketchers and became one of the first NBA athletes to become the face of their basketball footwear lineup. This collaboration began when he was healing from his ankle injury in 2023, and at that time he engaged with the brand’s design team, providing feedback that influenced the creation of models like the SKX Resagrip and SKX Float.
