Lakers Coach JJ Redick Makes Bold Bronny James Prediction After Career-High Night vs. Bucks

Bronny James is often the subject of discussion when it comes to the Lakers. With James getting more playing time as a result of the injuries to the Lakers, the discourse around James will only get louder. Luckily for James, it seems the more he plays, the better he looks on the court.

James has slowly started to come into his own as an NBA player, showcasing some speed here and there, as well as an improved handle.

What this means for his development going forward remains to be seen, but if his recent performances are any indicator, we could be looking at James working his way into the Lakers rotation.

JJ Redick Has Bold Prediction About Bronny James

The Lakers coach JJ Redick has spoken positively about Bronny James, giving him praise as he goes along learning the game. James is showing some of his brilliance on the court by working on his jump shot and growing his ball handling skills.

While still fairly young, James has to become one of the better conditioned athletes in order to find his way to regular minutes when the stars of the Lakers return to the lineup.

James played 30 minutes against the Milwaukee Bucks, having his best game in the NBA thus far. James finished with 17 points, 3 rebounds, and 5 assists, allowing the game to come to him with ease. Redick offered these bold words after the Lakers’ loss against the Bucks:

“I think the next step is becoming an elite conditioned athlete. When he does that with his physical tools and his burst and his handle, we think he’s gonna be an above average to really good NBA shooter. He’s gonna have a chance to really make an impact.”

James will have more opportunities to showcase what he can do on the court as the regular season continues to wind down, but the improvement he shows already is a great sign.

What’s Next For Bronny James And The Lakers?

If James can find ways to be effective on the floor, there’s a small chance you could see him on the floor in the playoffs. While his role would be minimal, he could be a jolt of energy for the Lakers at various times during small down periods.

Will the Lakers be able to remain healthy enough to compete for a championship? Reaves has a nagging injury, Donĉić has a reoccurring injury, and James needs to be mindful of the severity of his groin injury.

Regardless of who is on the court come playoff time for the Lakers, the most important piece for them remains their health. Are the Lakers set to make a deep playoff this postseason? Time will tell.
