‘That’s a Batman’ – Jimmy Butler III Heaps Praise on Savior Stephen Curry As Warriors Clinch Playoff Spot

Jimmy Butler III has been teammates with Stephen Curry for two and a half months. Their pairing basically saved the Golden State Warriors’ season, and it was on display as the Warriors clinched their playoff spot in their play-in win over the Memphis Grizzlies.

After the duo’s efforts got the Warriors back into the playoffs, Butler made it clear how much he admired his All-Star teammate.

Jimmy Butler III Explains Why He Considers Stephen Curry ‘Batman’

After the Warriors beat the Grizzlies, NBA on TNT’s Allie LaForce caught up with Butler. The Warriors star couldn’t hold back when praising Curry.

“I’m telling you. That’s a Batman if I’ve ever seen a Batman,” Butler said. “Always coming to save the day. You’re never out of any game, and more than anything, he’s just so poised. He’s so calm. He was a huge part of us getting this victory.”

Butler finished the game with 38 points on 12-for-20 shooting, while Curry finished with 37 points on nine-for-22 shooting, including six three-pointers. It was clear that the two of them had to do it together to stop the Grizzlies in the most pivotal game of the season thus far.

    Undeniable Chemistry

In a way, this pairing feels like a match made in heaven. Curry has won four championships in his career, and while his play is not to be denied, he needed the appropriate help to get him over the hump. Butler, by contrast, has gotten to the final round twice but hasn’t managed to get over the hump, and Curry might be the one to get him there.

Having another scorer by Curry’s side has been very beneficial for him and the Warriors, but Butler is more than that. Butler is very good at picking his spots in the halfcourt and knowing how to get his hands dirty. It’s why his teams have overachieved pretty often in his career. As the No. 2, it’s scary to think of what he and the Warriors can do.

With the win, the Warriors will go up against the Houston Rockets, who are as young, talented, and energetic as they are inexperienced. The Warriors could use that advantage against them. Curry, Butler, and Draymond Green have all been put to the test, and they have come out on top. The Warriors’ results have shown it’s likely to be more of the same.

In summation, Butler calling Curry Batman is pretty accurate, but Batman needed his Robin, and Butler’s proven he might not just be Robin, but the best Robin Curry ever had.
