As all teams do with their stars, the Golden State Warriors are encouraging their fans to vote Jimmy Butler into the All-Star game. After all, he is one of the few players on their squad who has a realistic shot at being considered for a roster spot. However, Butler himself has a hilariously unique idea as to what fans should do for him.

Jimmy Butler Offers a Hilarious Counter to the Warriors’ Campaign To Send Him to the All-Star Game
Butler has served as one of the few bright spots for the Warriors during this otherwise bleak season. On the court, he has consistently played well to help what has been a mostly inconsistent team. Off of it, he’s given people quite a few laughs with his answers to the media during interviews.
Due to his production on the court, the Warriors believe that he should be rewarded with a spot in the 2026 All-Star Game. To increase his chances of getting fan votes, Golden State posted a compilation of his iconic and funny responses during interviews, along with a reminder to vote for him.
In a funny twist, it would seem that Butler himself disagrees with the idea of him playing in the All-Star Game. Instead, he thinks fans should come together to help him pay for a vacation. He told fans exactly what they should do for him in the comments section of the post that asked fans to vote for him.
“Don’t vote for me guys. Instead somebody create a GoFundMe to send me to Barbados,” he commented. “Thanks in advance. GO WARRIORS.”

If he remains healthy, the Warriors already have one guaranteed All-Star with Stephen Curry. Ahead of Monday night’s game against the Orlando Magic, he’s averaged 28.8 points on shooting splits of 47.5/40.2/91.0 percent.
Earning a selection in this year’s All-Star squad would make it the twelfth time in his career that he’s earned this distinction.

Besides him, Butler is the only other player who is putting up All-Star-worthy numbers on the team. Through 25 games, he’s averaged 19.8 points, 5.6 rebounds, 4.8 assists, and 1.5 steals. No one else on the team is averaging more than 13 points per game.
Butler has six All-Star selections to his name. He made it in four consecutive years from 2015 to 2018 as a member of the Chicago Bulls. As a member of the Miami Heat, he was named an All-Star twice (2020, 2022).
If he does get voted into this year’s roster, it would mark his first All-Star appearance as a Warrior and his seventh overall.
