Should You Draft Jarrett Allen in Fantasy Basketball?

Despite Cleveland’s dominant 2024-25 campaign (64-18), Jarrett Allen’s production dipped in Year 8, making him more of a mid-tier fantasy center. The one-time All-Star averaged 13.5 points, 9.7 rebounds, and 0.9 blocks per game, all his lowest marks over the past four seasons, with his shot-blocking hitting a career low.

Still, Allen’s fantasy value was buoyed by his durability and unmatched efficiency. He played all 82 games for the first time and led the NBA in field-goal percentage (70.6%). The 27-year-old also finished top 10 in the league in double-doubles (40).

Allen’s upside is capped due to his limited offensive skill set and sharing the Cavaliers’ frontcourt with reigning NBA Defensive Player of the Year Evan Mobley. However, once the flashier centers come off the board, Allen should be an enticing target in Rounds 5 to 7 in standard leagues.
