Should you draft Jalen Suggs in fantasy basketball this year? Latest fantasy projection for the Orlando Magic shooting guard.

It’s the final weekend before the NBA regular season begins, which means you’re coming here for your fantasy basketball drafts.

Should you draft Jalen Suggs this season? Here’s the latest outlook, projections, and rankings for the Orlando Magic Shooting Guard.

Should You Draft Jalen Suggs in Fantasy Basketball?

A knee injury ended Jalen Suggs’ 2025 season early and required surgery in March, but it appears to be all systems go as he enters his fifth NBA season as a starter on the best team he’s played for up to this point.

It was only 35 games and the Desmond Bane addition this offseason makes this a different situation, but it’s difficult to not be encouraged by what we saw from the former fifth overall pick. For the season, 64.4% of his shots either came at the rim or from distance, an analytically sound scoring profile to complement a nice spike in assist rate.

His shot attempt count could decline (one shot every 2.1 minutes last season), but the quality of looks should improve and asking him to clear five assists per game is reasonable as this offense grows.

Suggs is a fringe top 100 player right now and I’m more intrigued by what he has to offer than players like D’Angelo Russell and Draymond Green, more veteran players who have less room for statistical growth.

In the middle rounds, profit potential is the name of the game and Suggs is being a bit overlooked due to the attention that is being paid to his teammates.
