It’s the final weekend before the NBA regular season begins, which means you’re coming here for your fantasy basketball drafts.
Should you draft Jalen Johnson this season? Here’s the latest outlook, projections, and rankings for the Atlanta Hawks Power Forward.

Should You Draft Jalen Johnson in Fantasy Basketball?
Jalen Johnson heads into 2025 with massive upside after a breakout third season that showcased his versatility and all-around game. Before tearing his left labrum, the 23-year-old averaged 19.9 points, 9.2 rebounds, 5.0 assists, and at least one steal, block, and three-pointer per night.
Atlanta’s offseason moves should further bolster Johnson’s production. The Hawks added Kristaps Porzingis, Luke Kennard, and Nickeil Alexander-Walker while shedding Clint Capela, Caris LeVert, and Georges Niang, surrounding Johnson and Trae Young with more shooting and spacing.
Johnson’s assist opportunities may rise, and his ability to rebound, defend, and stretch the floor makes him one of the most versatile forwards in the league.
The primary concern remains durability. Johnson has never played more than 56 games in a season and has totaled only 92 appearances over the past two years, plus his injury history dates back to Duke. But if he stays on the floor, his combination of multi-category production and elite efficiency could turn him into one of the biggest steals this year.
