Ja Morant released his latest signature shoe with Nike just in time for the ongoing 2025 NBA playoffs. The Memphis Grizzlies star wore the Nike Ja 3 “Max Volume” colorway in Game 1 of the Western Conference playoffs against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Since the Grizzlies managed to avoid being eliminated from postseason contention by defeating the Dallas Mavericks in the play-in tournament and held onto the eighth spot, it is undoubtedly a good time for Morant to release a new signature shoe. After all, the eyes of the world will be on him in the series against the Thunder.
Considering that Morant specifically had a vision for this signature shoe and is expected to put up big numbers wearing them, fans who are looking for a new pair will be interested in finding out more about the Nike Ja 3.
Ja Morant’s Nike Ja 3 ‘Max Volume’ Will Be Available on Aug. 15
Although fans will have the opportunity to watch the Grizzlies star lace up his latest signature shoe and leave it all on the court against the Thunder, they will have to wait quite a while to buy one for themselves.
According to reports, the Nike Ja 3 “Max Volume” colorway will be available to the public after Aug. 15, 2025, and is expected to cost $130. That makes it slightly more expensive than the other signature shoes endorsed by professional athletes. As things stand, “Max Volume” is the only colorway that has been revealed.
The shoe itself is pink in color for the “Max Volume” edition. It is reportedly designed to be fast and rugged, with a full-length ZoomX midsole, and delivers top-tier energy return. The iconic Nike Swoosh is visible on the lateral side and has a unique feature that speaks to Morant’s fearless nature. The Swoosh is angled in a manner that makes it look as if the inscription “Ja” is visible on the midsole.

Morant gave a short message indicating that he urged his design team to take things to the next level; “I told them, ‘Don’t be scared. Push it. Make it rugged, make it different.’ And they ran with it.”
It is highly unlikely that any other player with a signature shoe will find a way to have their entire “first name” put on the logo. Morant undoubtedly stands alone, and fans are quite likely to be taken in by the attractive design and purchase the shoe.
How the Grizzlies perform in the playoffs, especially against the Thunder, could have a major impact on sales. If Memphis pulls off an upset or stretches the series, Morant’s stock — and the Nike Ja 3 — could get a big boost.
