The Memphis Grizzlies may be heading into a long offseason, but it’s Ja Morant’s five-year-old daughter, Kaari, who just lit up social media like it’s the playoffs.
While Morant gets ready to bounce back from a forgettable season, Kaari just stole the spotlight with a golf cart and a whole lot of swagger. The little superstar had fans gushing after a video of her driving around in a golf cart started doing numbers on Instagram. And yeah, she was definitely not staying on the path.

Ja Morant’s Daughter’s Adorable Viral Clip
The clip, originally posted by Ja’s ex-girlfriend KK Dixon, showed Kaari casually taking the wheel of a golf cart like she’s been doing it for years.
Dixon, clearly amused, captioned the clip: “All off the path 🤣,” and honestly, she nailed it. Kaari had zero concern about driving straight, but every bit of confidence, and fans were eating it up.

Kaari’s become something of a fan favorite, popping up occasionally in public moments with Ja, including sneaker promos and sideline features. She even played a role in Nike’s campaign for the Ja 1s, flexing her star power like it’s in her DNA. Whether it’s basketball or golf carts, she’s already got the poise of someone born to be in the spotlight.
Ja and Dixon, who were together from 2017 to 2023, have kept things cool while co-parenting their daughter. The couple never publicly explained their breakup, but both continue to share sweet moments of Kaari through their social accounts. And judging by this latest golf cart adventure, their daughter might be more internet-savvy than both of them combined.
Morant’s Offseason Reality Check
While Kaari is out there giving wholesome vibes, the Grizzlies guard has had to navigate a very different kind of spotlight lately. Morant’s been having a tough ride lately, both on and off the court.
He was suspended twice: In March 2023 for eight games and again for 25 games to start the 2023-24 season after displaying a firearm on social media. And just earlier this April, he was fined $75,000 by the NBA for a gun-themed celebration after being warned not to do it again.
Memphis didn’t fare much better as a team. The Grizzlies got swept in the first round by the Oklahoma City Thunder, and Morant wrapped up the season with averages of 23.2 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 7.3 assists per game — his lowest scoring output since his second year in the league.
Now, with a full offseason ahead, Morant will be looking to regroup and reset. And, if Kaari’s carefree energy behind the wheel is anything to go by, maybe that’s the exact vibe he needs to channel next season.
