The Indiana Pacers and Oklahoma City Thunder have been giving us a show on the biggest stage so far. The NBA Finals series is tied 1-1 right now, and no one can really predict accurately which side might lift the NBA Championship later this month.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, the MVP, and Tyrese Haliburton have been the standout players of each team, and have played a key role so far this season. The Thunder took the win in Game 2, after an impressive 34-point performance from Gilgeous-Alexander, and a respectable 20-point effort from Alex Caruso.
Haliburton was able to score 17 points, but it must be mentioned that his impact on the game exceeds the numbers he puts up on the board. He was seen limping after the post-game press conference which sparked concerns of Pacers fans. NBA insider Shams Charania has dropped an important update on the player’s status.
Shams Charania Reports Tyrese Haliburton Is All Clear for Game 3 vs. Thunder
Charania said via ESPN, “Everything I hear, there’s no concern about his status tonight. All I just feel is he’s fine. He’s gonna be good to go. But what did catch my eye again is him limping right there. And he said he had a lower body injury. I did some digging on it.”
“He wasn’t on the injury report, everything I hear, there’s no concern about his status tonight. All the feel is he’s fine, he’s going to be good to go.”@ShamsCharania shares Tyrese Haliburton will play Game 3 despite an “ankle issue.” pic.twitter.com/Y783IdxL61

“I am told it is a ankle issue. Some soreness that he’s dealing with. But listen, Pat, around this time of year, and Q Rich knows this, this late into the playoffs, guys are gonna be dealing with all kinds of nicks and bruises and all kinds of different things.” Charania added.
As the ESPN insider claims, there is a chance that Haliburton is feeling fatigue at this point of the season. He has played 91 games this year through the regular season and the playoffs.
Regardless of the minor injuries, there is a huge chance that the Pacers guard shrugs them off to feature in Game 3. After all, it’s the NBA Finals, players will usually aim to give it everything they’ve got left in the tank for their teams.
Charania also mentioned that this ankle injury was something to watch out for, whether it could pose a problem later on in the series. Haliburton’s presence will give the Pacers a much-needed boost against an in-form Thunder defense, which has been flawless at times this postseason.
