5 Highest-Paid Players on the Thunder’s Roster in 2025

5) Chet Holmgren – $10.8 million

Holmgren signed a rookie contract worth $44.8 million with the Thunder in 2022. The contract earned him $9.8 million and $10.3 million in the first two years, and he is set to make $10.8 million in his third year.

The former first-round pick suffered an injury during his rookie season and was sidelined throughout. His contract includes team options after the second and third seasons. In three years, Holmgren has made over $31.3 million from his deal with the Thunder.

4) Isaiah Joe – $12.9 million

Joe was traded to the Thunder by the Philadelphia 76ers. In 2022, he signed a three-year contract worth $5.89 million with the franchise and later a four-year contract worth a whopping $48 million in 2024.

His latest contract has $36.6 million guaranteed money and a team option worth $11.3 million for the 2027-28 season. This still earns $12,991,650 from this contract with the Thunder.

3) Luguentz Dort – $17 million

Dort was not drafted in the 2019 NBA draft and later signed a two-way contract with the Thunder in July 2019. In 2022, he inked a five-year deal worth $82.5 million, which includes $64.7 million in guaranteed money.

Dort’s contract with the Thunder will pay him $17 million in the 2024-25 season. His deal also includes a team option worth $18.2 million for the 2026-27 season. At the end of the 2026-27 NBA season, Dort will become an unrestricted free agent.

2) Isaiah Hartenstein – $30 million

Hartenstein is one of the two players on the Thunder roster to earn $30 million or more in the 2024-25 season. He was selected by the Houston Rockets in the 2017 NBA Draft. Hartenstein inked a three-year deal worth $87 million with the Thunder in July 2024, following stints with the Nuggets, Cavaliers, and Clippers.

Hartenstein will earn $30 million this season and $28.5 million next season. His contract also includes a team option worth $28.5 million for the 2026-27 season. He has $58.5 million in guaranteed money.

1) Shai Gilgeous-Alexander – $35.8 million

Gilgeous-Alexander signed a five-year deal worth $179.2 million with the Thunder in August 2021. The contract extension would keep him with the franchise through the 2026-27 season. His salary for the 2024-25 season is $35.8 million. If he makes it to the All-NBA team, his earnings will jump to $207 million. However, if he doesn’t make it to the All-NBA team, his earnings will drop to $172.5 million. The deal also has a 15% trade kicker.

The reigning NBA MVP has been worth every penny. He led the franchise to the playoffs in his first two seasons and to the NBA Finals this year. An NBA Championship might earn him a hefty extension.
