Before Tuesday’s showdown with the Suns, the Warriors made a roster move by assigning Will Richard to Santa Cruz (G League).

Via NBA G League: “Will Richard is headed to Santa Cruz! 💥 The @warriors rookie and 56th pick in the 2025 NBA Draft has been assigned to the @gleaguewarriors.”

Richard was the 56th pick in the 2025 NBA Draft.

He has averages of 5.6 points, 1.7 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.3 steals per contest while shooting 63.2% from the field and 41.7% from three-point range his first six NBA games.

Via @CP3_777 (on November 2): “Will Richard leads the team in DBPM at 3.2 (the next highest DBPM is Draymond at 1.8). And of the Warriors that are playing at least 10 mpg, Richard leads the team in steal rate at 4.7%. His shooting %s will normalize but Richard has to play more. High floor, less variance.”

The Warriors come into play as the eighth seed in the Western Conference with a 4-3 record in their first seven games.

Following the Suns, they will play their next game on Wednesday night when they visit Russell Westbrook and the Sacramento Kings.

Via @ViwePotelwa (on October 29): “Will Richard is looking so good as a rookie. Just doing a bit of everything but doing it at a mature level. He gives me Patrick McCaw vibes, which I really like. If you know Warriors history, you know what I mean”

As for the Suns, they are 3-4 in their first seven games, which has them as the 10th seed in the Western Conference.

Following the Warriors, they will host the LA Clippers on Thursday night.
