In 2014, Antetokounmpo met Mariah Riddlesprigger during the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas, where she was working as an intern. Their relationship began during that period, well before Antetokounmpo rose to stardom, and Riddlesprigger has remained a consistent presence alongside him since the early stages of his professional career.
The couple made their relationship public in 2016 through social media. Since then, Riddlesprigger has frequently appeared in Antetokounmpo’s posts.
Like the Greek Freak, Riddlesprigger also has an athletic background. She was raised in Fresno and attended Bullard High School. After graduation, she enrolled at Rice University in Houston, where she studied sports management and sociology and competed in volleyball.
Riddlesprigger began her career as an NBA intern. She later launched her apparel brand, “Sincerely, Mariah,” in 2021. The clothing line promotes positivity and self-empowerment. Two years later, she became strategic initiatives director for the Charles Antetokounmpo Family Foundation.
Mariah’s father, Pat Riddlesprigger, competed for Fresno State, where he averaged 7.1 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 2.2 assists across 119 games, according to Sports Reference. He played college basketball from 1988 to 1992 and earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration as well as a master’s degree in educational technology from Fresno State.
On September 1, 2024, Antetokounmpo and Riddlesprigger married in Greece. The private three-day celebration included notable guests such as LeBron James, Serena Williams, and Khris Middleton, Antetokounmpo’s former Milwaukee Bucks teammate, who served as best man.
Before their marriage, the couple had already welcomed three children: Liam Charles in February 2020, Maverick Shai in 2021, and Eva Brooke in 2023.
