‘Diabolical’ — NBA Analyst Reveals Giannis Antetokounmpo Trade Destination On Par With ‘KD to the Warriors’

NBA analyst Alan Hahn compared a potential Giannis Antetokounmpo trade scenario to Kevin Durant joining the Warriors.

Giannis Antetokounmpo’s uncertain future with the Milwaukee Bucks continues to make headlines. The franchise is in the middle of some major drama in the form of the superstar’s potential new franchise and the exit of head coach Doc Rivers.

Antetokounmpo and the Bucks have had a season to forget. They missed the playoffs after an 11th-place finish with a 32-50 record. With their superstar dealing with an injury-riddled season, the Bucks played consistently poor ball on both ends of the floor, leading to an early packing this edition.

NBA Analyst Makes Bold Comment on Giannis Antetokounmpo’s Next Landing Spot

Speaking on ESPN’s Get Up, analyst Alan Hahn and former NBA star Iman Shumpert weighed in on Antetokounmpo’s next landing spot. The former made a bold statement when the OKC Thunder was brought up as one of the trade destinations.

“Oklahoma City has all these draft picks,” Hahn noted. “They have a really good roster with a lot of young players. If you want to be diabolical, if you want to do something like KD going to the Warriors, this would be very similar to that.”

Hahn’s comments come amid the Bucks superstar being heavily linked to the Warriors. Previous reports said that Golden State had signaled its intent to go all in on Antetokounmpo by offering its four available first-round picks.

Durant’s tenure with the Warriors lasted three years, and he won two championships with the side. He has since plied his trade for the Brooklyn Nets, Phoenix Suns, and is presently in his first season with the Houston Rockets. His move to the Warriors continues to be a constant topic of criticism for the All-Star veteran.

At the time of writing, the Miami Heat, Los Angeles Lakers, and the Minnesota Timberwolves have been linked to the forward as he hits an early summer. After being the trade rumor staple throughout the 2026 NBA trade deadline, his landing spot will once again take center stage.

Earlier, the NBA champion was unsure of his future in Milwaukee. “It’s not up to me anymore,” he said, per The Athletic. “Until we get to October, it’s eight months, seven months,” he said. “It’s a long time. But somebody has to offer you that for you to sign.”

“I haven’t been offered an extension. So, if that is on the table, then I will try to make the best decision for me and family. But if it’s not on the table, then I have to focus on how I can prove my worth and get on the floor and do what I do.”

Only time will tell which franchise will land Antetokounmpo in the summer if the Bucks decide to part ways with their cornerstone. Safe to say, there will be no dearth of competition.
