How Much the Milwaukee Bucks Pay Giannis Antetokounmpo

Antetokounmpo signed a three-year contract extension with the Milwaukee Bucks for $186 million in October 2023. This deal will start from the 2025-26 season, which makes him a guaranteed player for the team until the 2027-28 season.

This extension replaced his old contract, which had a player option for the 2025-26 season. Under this contract his salary structure goes like this — for the 2025-26 season he will earn $57.6 million, the next 2026-27 season he will get $62.2 million, $66.8 million (player option) in 2027–28 season. So, Antetokounmpo is set to make approximately $281 million in the next five seasons.

Giannis Antetokounmpo Became a Marketing Star Beyond the NBA

Looking beyond the NBA, Antetokounmpo has made several deals with brands such as Nike, Google, JBL, WhatsApp, Budweiser, among others.

In 2017, he signed a deal with Nike that, according to reports, brings in $10 million annually. Not only this, but even before this deal, he had signed some moderate deals with the brand that brought him $20,000. When he became the NBA MVP in 2019, Nike Zoom Freak 1 was launched, celebrating his journey. Up until April 2025, seven Zoom Freaks have been launched.

He signed the contract with JBL in 2021. Under this collaboration, he and the brand launched a limited edition lineup of headphones, the “Freak Edition,” with two models—the JBL Tour One and the JBL Endurance Peak II. Both designs had a green and blue mix-dye.

In 2021, he collaborated with Google to launch the Pixel 6. This collaboration was a part of Google’s initiative to have Pixel as the official fan phone of the NBA. He appeared in many commercials while promoting the phone’s features, such as Magic Erase and Live. He also appeared in a high-profile Google Pixel Super Bowl commercial with Amy Schumer and Doja Cat.

In February 2022, he became WhatsApp’s first-ever global ambassador. This collaboration was revealed when he showed a custom green hoodie designed by Nigerian-American designer Niyi Okuboyejo during the NBA All-Star Weekend. In July 2021, Antetokounmpo and his brother Thanasis featured with Budweiser in their global campaign titled “Never Dream Alone,”. The campaign included a series of advertisements to promote their story.
