Flopping in the NBA is an issue. Fans have caught on to Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s foul-baiting and flopping to get foul calls, but Thomas Bryant took it to another level. Karl-Anthony Towns hit Bryant on the chin, which caused him to fall on the court. He clenched his face in pain, as it looked serious.
However, with the NBA having endless cameras all around the arena, fans saw the incident. It appeared Towns didn’t even touch Bryant during that play. You could see Bryant leaning his head in a bid to get hit as the commentators spotted the error. The talk of flopping in the NBA is serious, and this just became another prime example of it.
Fans took his case on social media and scorched Bryant for flopping despite the Indiana Pacers taking home a sensational victory.

One fan commented, “Thomas Bryant might have some ACTING in his future,” and posted a replay of Bryant’s incident with Towns. Usually, flopping is when a player goes down, holds his face, and uses dramatic gestures to get the referee’s attention. In this play, most fans agree that Bryant flopped to get the referee’s attention, but to no avail.
