On Wednesday night, the Boston Celtics will begin their season when they host the Philadelphia 76ers.
Last week, the Celtics made a roster move when they signed Ron Harper Jr. to a two-way deal.
He is the son of five-time NBA Champion Ron Harper.

Fans React To Boston Celtics Signing Ron Harper Jr.
@RaptorsSlander: “Felt like Ron was close in Toronto to a 3rd defensive wing level in the NBA. Good to see he’s got another year to develop now.”
@RyanHallBallin: “Rightfully so. Because you will lose him again if you send him to Maine.
@SHADOWREAL31049: “Love this. I def think he stays next year for the 2nd tatum era. Trade JB for Trae and KP back..”
@alt3boy: “waived Luis and now Harper on a two way. I hope Brad brings someone in anyhow”
@onballcreator: “Look at him Dude must have dropped at least 20 lbs, good for him”
@IanSteeleWMUR: “The C’s final roster spot. @WMUR9 #Differenthere”
Harper Jr. has played in 11 career NBA games for the Detroit Pistons and Toronto Raptors.
His career averages are 2.2 points and 1.3 rebounds per contest while shooting 37.5% from the field and 20.0% from the three-point range.
In addition to his time in the NBA, Harper Jr. also played well during his stints in the G League.
Via @zariqxavier: “Ron Harper Jr. set the Motor City Cruise record for most 3PM in a game. He had one of the best G-League performances I have seen in my 4 seasons covering. Ron went ELEVEN for EIGHTEEN from 3. This was news to him, “I broke a record??””
Harper Jr. will likely spend a lot more time in the G League this season (due to him being on a two-way deal).
If he plays well, he could earn a spot on the 15-man roster.
Following the 76ers, the Celtics will visit Jalen Brunson and the New York Knicks on Friday night at Madison Square Garden.
