‘Disrespect Is Crazy’ — Fans Furious Over Anthony Davis’ Shocking Snub in NBA 2K26

Fans erupt as Anthony Davis is left out of NBA 2K26’s Top 10 shot blockers, sparking outrage over the game’s rating credibility.

For years, two prominent staples have dominated the off-court NBA world that fans absolutely love. On one side, there’s the legendary “Inside the NBA” show with its debates, discussions, and everything that keeps basketball discourse alive.

On the other side sits the NBA 2K franchise that keeps players glued to their screens for hours. But now, a recent post from the official NBA 2K account is raising eyebrows.

NBA 2K26 Top 10 Shot Blockers List Drops as Anthony Davis Snub Leaves Fans Fuming

The NBA 2K official X account recently unveiled their Top 10 shot blockers for NBA2K26, featuring Victor Wembanyama, Robert Williams III, Donovan Clingan, Walker Kessler, Adem Bona, Jonathan Isaac, Daniel Gafford, Derek Lively II, and Jay Huff.

While some names were expected, the omission of certain elite defenders has sent shockwaves through the fanbase.

The most controversial snub? Dallas Mavericks star Anthony Davis, whose absence from the list has fans questioning the credibility of NBA 2K’s rating system entirely.

Fans Are Not Happy With the List

If we look at players like Huff, who managed just 64 games, and Williams, who appeared in only 20 games, we can see that they somehow earned spots on this prestigious list.

Seeing players with such limited court time make the list while Davis was excluded felt like an undeniable slight for many supporters.

“The Anthony Davis disrespect is crazy. Jay Huff is barely in the league and Robert Williams hasn’t played a game since Obama was president,” wrote one fan.

Davis stands out as one of the NBA’s most formidable shot blockers. He has a career total of 1,815 blocks and has averaged 2.3 blocks per game across 787 regular-season appearances.

His impressive resume places him 25th on the all-time blocks leaderboard. He has led the league in blocks thrice (2014, 2015, and 2018). For a few fans, AD should have topped the list.

“Anthony Davis should be 1 or 2 smh,” said one fan.

One supporter decided to take a satirical approach, sarcastically suggesting that the Mavs star must have switched sports entirely. The joke highlighted how absurd many fans found Davis’s exclusion from what should have been an obvious inclusion.

“Ad plays volleyball? Lmao,” said the user.

While the majority of fans were busy criticizing the Top 10 list for snubbing Davis, one fan took an entirely different approach. Instead of joining the outrage, they suggested that NBA 2K should release a similar ranking for the WNBA.

“We don’t care. Show the highest rated WNBA players!” said the user.

Ultimately, the Top 10 blockers list might have been meant as a fun preseason teaser. But it has instead ignited a heated debate about recognition, performance, and credibility.
