Draymond Green has played for the Golden State Warriors for 14 seasons. During his tenure, he has helped the team secure four championships and remains one of its core players.
Despite his contributions to Golden State’s success, Green has become a polarizing figure. Many value his presence on the roster, while others believe the team should move on from him. Acknowledging the divide, Green recently addressed Warriors fans who have called for him to be traded.

Draymond Green Explicitly Calls Out Warriors Fans Who Want Him Traded
In a recent episode of Fred VanVleet’s podcast, “Unguarded,” Green discussed the criticism from fans who want him removed from the roster.
Over the course of his 14-year career, Green has developed a reputation for his outspoken nature and physical style of play, often resulting in technical fouls and ejections.
His behavior has frustrated many Warriors fans to the point that they want him gone. Green, however, reminded them of the impact he has made on the franchise.
“I see fans saying different s**t now,” Green said. “I see Warriors fans like ‘Yo! It’s time to get him out of here.’ To the real Warriors fans who don’t feel that way, thank you. To the ones who do feel that way, you were a loser before I got here. A f**king stone cold forever losers! If you say that, it makes sense to me. You’ve never been here. You don’t know how to appreciate something for its entirety.”

When Green was drafted by the Warriors in 2012, the team improved from finishing 13th in the Western Conference the previous year to securing the sixth seed in the 2013 NBA Playoffs.
Although his rookie season averages were modest at 2.9 points and 3.3 rebounds per game, Green’s subsequent seasons helped elevate the Warriors into a perennial contender, ultimately contributing to four championships as their defensive anchor.
Beyond his championships, Green has compiled an impressive list of individual honors. He was named the 2017 Defensive Player of the Year, is a four-time All-Star, and has earned nine All-Defensive Team selections with the Warriors. He has twice been chosen for the All-NBA Team, led the league in steals in 2017, and is also a two-time Olympic gold medalist.
