Draymond Green didn’t hold back on Dillon Brooks after the seven-game series between the Golden State Warriors and Houston Rockets. Even though the Rockets finished the season as the second seed in the West, they lost Game 7 at home to the Warriors.
Green is well-known for his podcast. On a recent episode of “The Draymond Green Show,” the Warriors veteran talked about the final moments after an emotional Game 7 and took some serious shots at Brooks.

Draymond Green Attacks Dillon Brooks’ Poor Sportsmanship After Game 7
You could argue the first-round matchup between the Warriors and Rockets was the most dramatic series of the playoffs. Golden State jumped out to a 3-1 lead, but Houston came back to force a Game 7. The Warriors finally sealed it on the road, thanks in part to Buddy Hield’s unexpected three-point shooting burst.
Brooks was seen as a constant irritant by the Warriors. Not only did he play some questionable defense, but he also admitted he was trying to aggravate a finger injury Stephen Curry was dealing with.
Sure, losing in the first round as a two-seed is frustrating, but Green said that didn’t excuse how Brooks acted afterward. Once the Rockets lost Game 7, Brooks left the court without shaking hands or congratulating the Warriors — something players usually do after a playoff series, even if it’s not an official rule.
“[Brooks] ran off the court like ain’t shake nobody up, and you admitted that you was trying to hurt [Curry’s] hand, which again fine by me, bro. I get it. We all get it when you hoop … Don’t lose and then not face the music. Don’t be that guy because, again, you lose a lot of respect for guys in that moment.”
Green also brought up a past run-in with Brooks and mentioned Rockets forward Tari Eason to draw a comparison.
“I had a moment with Dillon Brooks back when he was with Memphis, and I said the dynasty starts after you, and the reason I said that is because of things like that … Because then guess what? Tari Eason do that. He gets up and leaves the court.”
Draymond Green calls out Dillon Brooks for not shaking anyone’s hand after the game, labels him a “sucka,” and says nobody respects him 😳

Green credited Eason but kept digging at Brooks.
“But don’t be that guy … You lose a series but that’s what Dillon Brooks is and we understand you’re a sucker man but Tari Eason, he’s not…I got a lot of love for the young fellow over the way he goes about his business. Dillon Brooks couldn’t come through in this series in large because nobody on the court respects you. So anything you do, the way it’s going to be looked at and received, it ain’t beneficial to your team.”
Green and the Warriors won, so he gets to talk. If the roles had been flipped, you have to wonder what Brooks would’ve said about Green, Curry, and the rest of the Warriors.
In the end, trash talk is part of winning. Since the Warriors moved on, it’s no surprise Brooks is catching heat, not just for how he played, but how he acted once it was over.
