Detroit Pistons legend Isiah Thomas made a heartfelt post to Instagram.

Isiah Thomas is one of the best point guards in all of NBA history.

The Detroit Pistons legend last played in the league during the 1993-94 season when he was in his 13th year.

Recently, Thomas made a heartfelt post to Instagram that had over 5,000 likes.

The Basketball Hall of Famer was the second pick in the 1981 NBA Draft after an incredible college career for the Indiana Hoosiers.

He led Indiana to the 1980 National Championship, finishing his career with averages of 15.4 points and 5.7 assists per contest while shooting 53.4% from the field.

During his NBA career, Thomas made 12 All-Star Games (and led the Pistons to two titles).

His career averages were 19.2 points, 3.6 rebounds, 9.3 assists and 1.9 steals per contest while shooting 45.2% from the field and 29.0% from three-point range in 979 games.

He also appeared in 111 NBA playoff games.

The franchise last won a title during the 2004 season when they beat Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers.
