DeMarcus Cousins is back in the headlines, and not for anything he achieved on the court. A video from Puerto Rico’s BSN League has gone viral, showing the former NBA All-Star in the middle of a wild fan altercation.
From getting ejected to nearly charging into the stands, the scene escalated fast. Fans threw drinks. Cousins flipped off someone in the crowd, and for a moment, it looked like things could really spiral. Thankfully, cooler heads (barely) prevailed.
DeMarcus Cousins Ejected Form Game After Wild Exchange With Fans
The moment came to light when X handle 12magnificos posted a clip that quickly picked up steam online. In it, the former NBA star is seen walking off the court after an ejection, already visibly heated, when chaos erupts.

While walking to the locker room, Cousins appeared to taunt the crowd with several flexes, then turned to flip off a fan. In response, fans tossed drinks and other items at him. That’s when Cousins, clearly fed up, tried to charge into the stands. Multiple team staffers rushed to hold him back, preventing what could have become an even uglier scene.
Before the now-viral incident where Cousins tried to charge into the stands, another video began making the rounds online, and it may explain what set things off. In this earlier clip, Cousins is seen jawing with a fan seated courtside.

The exchange grows tense as Cousins makes a crude gesture, grabbing his shorts and motioning toward his groin while staring down the fan. The act, while brief, was clearly provocative, and several players and officials intervened to de-escalate it.
Not long after the courtside clash, Cousins was ejected from the game, setting the stage for the second, more chaotic confrontation involving thrown drinks and a near-brawl in the stands.
Boogie’s latest chapter in Puerto Rico is a far cry from his NBA days, where Cousins was one of the league’s most dominant big men. Drafted by the Sacramento Kings in 2010, Cousins made four All-Star teams and averaged an impressive 19.6 points, 10.2 rebounds, and three assists per game over an 11-year NBA career, per StatMuse.
Injuries, team changes, and frustration eventually pushed Cousins out of the league. These days, he’s suiting up for the Guaynabo Mets in Puerto Rico’s Baloncesto Superior Nacional (BSN), where he signed in April 2023.
In his most recent outing on June 10, 2025, against the Vaqueros de Bayamón, Cousins posted 11 points, seven rebounds, five assists, and two steals, as per the Flashscore website. His team still came up short, losing 101–91.

While it’s unclear whether the altercation happened during that specific game, it’s the latest flashpoint in what has been a volatile second act to Cousins’ career.
Still, fans might remember what Boogie once was: a versatile, powerful force with a soft touch and undeniable fire. That fire hasn’t gone anywhere, clearly. But moments like this are reminders of how far removed he is from his peak and just how easily things can still spiral.
