Is Deni Avdija Dating or Married? Everything to Know About the Trail Blazers Star’s Personal Life

Deni Avdija is headed to his first NBA All-Star Game. Here's what we know about the Trail Blazers star's dating and relationship status.

Deni Avdija is having the best season of his NBA career, and now he’s heading to his first All-Star Game. The 25-year-old Portland Trail Blazers forward has officially been named a 2026 NBA All-Star reserve for the Western Conference, earning the honor on Sunday, February 1. With his profile rising, the spotlight has also shifted toward his personal life, especially whether Deni Avdija is dating or married.

Inside Deni Avdija’s Personal Life

Avdija’s All-Star selection marks a historic milestone, as he becomes the first Israeli player ever named an NBA All-Star and the first Trail Blazers player to receive the honor since 2023.

As of now, there is no public information confirming that Avdija is married. There are also no credible reports indicating that he currently has a girlfriend.

The Trail Blazers star has largely kept his personal life private, choosing to stay focused on basketball rather than headlines off the court.

During his formative years, Avdija reportedly had a girlfriend, according to NBA.com. However, since entering the league and developing into a rising star, he has kept his relationship status out of the spotlight.

Needless to say, when many athletes prefer to share details of their personal lives on social media, Avdija has taken a more reserved approach. That focus appears to be paying off.

Avdija is in the middle of a true breakout campaign. He is averaging a career-best 25.2 points per game, along with 7.2 rebounds and 6.6 assists.

He is also shooting 46.3% from the field and 34.6% from three-point range, all career highs. For comparison, his regular career average sits at 12.8 points per game, making this leap even more impressive.

Before his All-Star selection, Avdija finished seventh in Western Conference fan voting, further proving how much his popularity has grown this season.

Originally selected with the ninth overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft by the Washington Wizards, Avdija joined the Trail Blazers in July 2024. He signed a four-year $55 million contract with the Wizards. Since arriving in Portland, he has steadily elevated his game and taken on a bigger leadership role.

His basketball journey began long before the NBA. Avdija developed his skills while playing for Maccabi Tel Aviv, one of Israel’s most prestigious basketball clubs. The game also runs in his family. His father, a 6-foot-8 forward, played for the Yugoslavian national team before competing professionally in Israel.

Now, Avdija is set to take another major step on the global stage. He will play in the 2026 NBA All-Star Game on Sunday, February 15, at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California. The event will feature a new format with two U.S. teams and one World team competing in a round-robin style matchup.
