Is Kon Knueppel Dating or Married? Everything To Know About the Hornets’ Rookie’s Personal Life

A closer look at Kon Knueppel's relationship status and what's known about the Hornets rookie's personal life.

Charlotte Hornets rookie Kon Knueppel has quickly become one of the most talked-about young players in the NBA. From record-setting 3-point shooting numbers to Rookie of the Year buzz, the 20-year-old guard has drawn attention nationwide.

But while his basketball journey is well documented, fans are also curious about his life off the court. Is Kon Knueppel dating anyone? Is he married? Here’s everything we know about the Hornets’ rookie’s personal life.

About Kon Knueppel’s Personal Life

No verified information indicates that Kon Knueppel is married as of February 2026. Knueppel hasn’t publicly announced a wife or spouse, and there are no credible reports to suggest otherwise. There’s nothing on social media suggesting Kneuppel is married.

Given his age and the fact that he is in the middle of his first NBA season, it’s not surprising that his primary focus appears to be basketball.

There is also no confirmed information that Knueppel is in a public dating relationship. Internet speculation surfaced after Knueppel posted a prom photo in 2024, during his senior year of high school. In the photo, he is seen with a girl whom some online fans have identified as “Lauren.”

Adding to the speculation, fans claimed that the same individual, or at least a similar-looking one, was present at Knueppel’s NBA rookie debut, sitting alongside his parents. However, none of this has been confirmed by Knueppel or his representatives.

At this point, any reports about a girlfriend remain unverified.

A Rookie Focused on Basketball

If there’s one thing clear about Knueppel, it’s that his attention is locked in on his NBA career.

The Milwaukee native grew up in Wisconsin and starred at Wisconsin Lutheran High School, where he averaged 26.4 points as a senior and led his team to a 30–0 record and a state championship. He was named Wisconsin Mr. Basketball before enrolling early at Duke in June 2024.

After a strong freshman season with the Blue Devils, including ACC Rookie of the Week honors early in the year, he declared for the NBA Draft and was selected No. 4 overall by the Hornets.

Since entering the league, Knueppel has impressed with his poise and maturity. He scored 32 points in his first NBA game in Milwaukee and set an early-career 3-point mark through his first 49 games. Teammates and coaches frequently praise his focus, work ethic, and competitive edge.

Strong Family Foundation

Knueppel comes from a deeply athletic family. His father, Kon Sr., was the all-time leading scorer at Wisconsin Lutheran College until 2019, while his mother, Chari, is the all-time leading scorer at Wisconsin-Green Bay. His uncle, Jeff Nordgaard, played in the NBA for the Milwaukee Bucks.

He is also the oldest of five brothers — Kager, Kinston, Kash, and Kid — and remains closely connected to his family. During the Hornets’ rookie road trip to Milwaukee, Knueppel and his family even hosted the entire team for dinner at his childhood home.

He has openly spoken about his Christian faith and the importance of keeping basketball in perspective. As of late 2025 and early 2026, Kon Knueppel appears to be single and focused on his development as an NBA rookie.
