It’s the final weekend before the NBA regular season begins, which means you’re coming here for your fantasy basketball drafts.
Should you draft Cam Whitmore this season? Here’s the latest outlook, projections, and rankings for the Washington Wizards Small Forward.

Should You Draft Cam Whitmore in Fantasy Basketball?
In July, the Washington Wizards acquired Cam Whitmore in a trade with the Houston Rockets, and now the 21-year-old will finally get a chance to show what he can do with significant playing time. Whitmore hardly played throughout his first two NBA seasons, averaging just 17.4 minutes per game with the Rockets. However, in his limited playing time, he showed plenty of flashes, averaging 10.8 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 1.5 3-pointers on 44.9/35.7/70.7 shooting splits.
The Rockets initially drafted Whitmore as a developmental project with the No. 20 pick in the 2023 NBA Draft, but once they rapidly improved and became a win-now team, they couldn’t give him the minutes he needed to realize his full potential. Now, with the Wizards, he should get plenty of playing time and opportunities to showcase his skillset. Whitmore is basically free in fantasy drafts (with an ADP of 144th in ESPN leagues and 214th in Yahoo leagues), but he’s a fun last-round flier given his upside and breakout potential.
