NBA Announces Major Career Milestone for Warriors Sharpshooter

Warriors’s sharpshooter climbs to 15th on the NBA’s all-time 3-point list, giving them a timely boost as they lean on his veteran shooting.

The Golden State Warriors just watched one of their veteran shooters climb another rung on the NBA’s all-time leaderboard. Buddy Hield, long known for his quick trigger and deep-range accuracy, has officially entered rare company.

The NBA confirmed his latest milestone in a post that immediately caught attention around the basketball world. For a Warriors team still relying heavily on perimeter firepower, Hield’s achievement arrives at a meaningful time.

Buddy Hield Climbs to 15th on NBA’s All-Time 3-Point List

The NBA announced on X that Golden State Warriors guard Hield has moved to 15th place on the league’s all-time three-pointers list.

Hield now sits at 2,144 made threes, passing Hall of Famer Paul Pierce (2,143). The league congratulated him publicly, celebrating the longevity and consistency that have defined his decade-long career.

NBA wrote on X: Congrats to @buddyhield of the @warriors for moving up to 15th on the all-time THREES list!

Hield’s new spot places him among elite company, though the top remains firmly in the hands of Warriors superstar Stephen Curry, who leads all players with an astonishing 4,108 career three-pointers.

Even with Curry rewriting the record books, Hield’s accomplishment stands out in its own right, especially given his key role in Golden State’s offensive identity.

The Warriors brought in Hield during a six-team sign-and-trade with the Philadelphia 76ers in July 2024, which marked the departure of franchise icon Klay Thompson.

From the moment he arrived, the expectation was clear: he needed to be Golden State’s next dependable perimeter threat next to Curry.

That demand intensified when he delivered a season-defining 33-point performance in the team’s Game 7 first-round win over the Houston Rockets during the 2025 NBA Playoffs.

Hield is a Valuable Shooter in Warriors’ Rotation

While Hield’s spot in the record books is secure, his current season paints a far more complicated picture. Through the 2025–26 campaign so far, he is averaging 6.9 points, 1.6 rebounds, and 1.6 assists, while shooting 32.1% from three.

Those numbers mark one of the slowest starts of his career, and if the trend continues, this season could become his least productive in a decade.

Even so, Hield’s long-term résumé still gives the Warriors reason to hold confidence. His career 39.6% mark from deep remains one of the strongest active percentages in the league, and his ability to catch fire in bursts has made him a key piece in Steve Kerr’s motion-heavy offense.

Beyond Curry, Golden State lacks proven, high-volume long-range shooting, making Hield’s presence all the more valuable.

The Warriors currently sit seventh in the West at 9–6, navigating a crowded conference where every bit of floor spacing matters. Their next matchup comes against the Orlando Magic on Tuesday, November 18, where Hield will attempt to add to both his milestone total and his season rhythm.
