Anthony Davis Exits With Injury

UPDATE: Davis has been ruled out for the remainder of the game.

Via Noah Weber of The Smoking Cuban: “Dallas Mavericks big man Anthony Davis was slow to get back up the court after Dallas’ last offensive possession and was grabbing for his leg. It looked like he kept grabbing the back of his left leg/heel. He just went back to the locker room.”

Davis is in his 14th NBA season. He came into the night with averages of 25.0 points, 11.8 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 1.8 steals and 1.5 blocks per contest while shooting 52.1% from the field and 27.3% from three-point range in four games.

Via Ron Harrod Jr. of DLLS Mavs: “Mavericks center Anthony Davis is headed to the locker. He entered the game with a Bilateral Achilles Tendinopathy injury. Davis looked to step hard on the ground and started limping instantly to the bench.”

The Mavs have gone 1-3 in their first four games of the new season.

Following the Pacers game, they will face the Detroit Pistons on Saturday night.
