Things are looking bleak for Bradley Beal following the latest news regarding his injury. Beal was expected to help the Los Angeles Clippers contend this season, but injuries have prevented him from doing so.
Now, a new injury has emerged that clearly determines his status with the Clippers.
Bradley Beal Suffers Season-Ending Injury
NBA insider Shams Charania reported on Wednesday that Beal will miss the remainder of the 2025-26 season. This is due to a hip injury he suffered after his game against the Phoenix Suns last Saturday. Beal fractured his hip and is required to undergo immediate surgery. Unfortunately for the Clippers, his recovery will take up the entirety of the season.

Last season, he injured his knee, leading to inflammation that required surgery and kept him out for the remainder of the year. Although he had the offseason to heal, the Clippers opted to manage Beal’s minutes carefully this season to reduce the risk of another injury.
Clippers head coach Tyronn Lue had previously expressed optimism about Beal’s role with the team. While limited playing time prevented him from fully unleashing Beal, Lue recognized the guard’s potential impact when healthy and believed he could return this season.
“I think physically (Bradley Beal) can definitely (bounce back up),” Lue said. “Just the minutes that he’s going to be playing, I don’t think he’s going to score 35 or 40 (points). But you know, the most important thing is that he feels better. He’s slowly working towards where he’s trying to get to. … Just stacking games, stacking days.”
Beal finished the season averaging just 8.2 points, 1.7 assists, and 0.8 rebounds across six games. With him sidelined, the Clippers must focus on climbing the Western Conference without him.
Kawhi Leonard’s ankle injury also complicates the team’s outlook. For now, James Harden and Ivica Zubac are the only star players they can consistently rely on. Harden has averaged 23.4 points, 9.3 assists, and 5.2 rebounds in nine games this season, while Zubac has appeared in all 10 games and put up 14.9 points, 10.6 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per contest.
Looking at the Western Conference standings, the Clippers sit in 12th place with a 3-7 record. With 72 games remaining, there is plenty of time to turn things around. The pressing question is whether Leonard can recover quickly enough to help Harden lead the team on a playoff push this season.
