Bradley Beal Voices Feelings About Suns’ Future as Trade Rumors Emerge After Disappointing 2024-25 Season

Bradley Beal speaks out about his future with the Phoenix Suns amid trade rumors after the team's playoff flop and $110 million contract dilemma.

When the Phoenix Suns pulled the trigger on a blockbuster trade with the Washington Wizards for Bradley Beal back in 2023, fans thought they were looking at a superteam primed to chase rings.

But, fast forward to the end of the 2024-25 season, and the Suns aren’t even sniffing the NBA Play-in Tournament. With a bloated payroll, a gutted bench, and growing frustration in the Valley, Beal is now at the center of swirling trade rumors.

Well, he’s finally speaking his heart out.

Bradley Beal Feels ‘Love’ for Phoenix

Beal kept it real after Phoenix’s final home game which was a dominant win over the San Antonio Spurs that snapped an ugly eight-game skid. The vibes in the locker room appeared to be all love. However, the results on the court weren’t even close.

“I’m always confident in what we have, man,” Beal said during a postgame interview. “I believe in what we got in there. Things happen. We didn’t have a good year. We couldn’t put it together like we wanted.”

Still, Beal isn’t throwing shade at anyone in the building.

“I love Phoenix. I love being here. Hopefully, I can continue to be here,” Beal said. “But I know Mat [Ishbia] is probably going to make some changes.”

Heading into the season’s final set of games, the Suns have a 36-45 record and have already been eliminated from postseason contention. Brutal, especially considering the Suns own the league’s most expensive roster.

Beal, who dealt with injuries and inconsistent showings throughout the year, averaged just 17 points in his second-lowest scoring season since his rookie year.

Owner Mat Ishbia went all in. Since taking over in February 2023, Ishbia has splurged on big names like Beal and Kevin Durant. He also re-signed Devin Booker to a monster deal. That Big 3 never turned into the Big W.

Fast forward to April. John Gambadoro (Arizona Sports 98.7 FM) is reporting that there’s a “0% chance” Beal is back in Phoenix next season. Despite a no-trade clause and over $110 million still on the books, Beal appears to be done in the desert. Whether it’s a buyout or a trade, one thing is clear: Phoenix is about to shake things up. Again.

Beal’s value isn’t what it used to be, but there’s still upside. A change of scenery could help both him and the Suns. His comments about locker room chemistry? Probably the most heartbreaking part for fans.

“That’s what kind of hurts us the most,” Beal admitted. “We were a connected team. We were together. We just couldn’t put it together on the floor.”

The offseason is already looking spicy in Phoenix. With Durant, Booker, and a completely depleted bench, the Suns’ front office has major decisions to make. But, if Beal is on his way out, as most insiders suggest, his short stint in the Valley will go down as one of the most puzzling chapters in Suns history.
