Bam Adebayo Fantasy Outlook: Should You Draft the Miami Heat Center This Year?

Should you draft Bam Adebayo in fantasy basketball this year? Latest fantasy projection for the Miami Heat center.

It’s the final weekend before the NBA regular season begins, which means you’re coming here for your fantasy basketball drafts.

Should you draft Bam Adebayo this season? Here’s the latest outlook, projections, and rankings for the Miami Heat Center.

Should You Draft Bam Adebayo in Fantasy Basketball?

Bam Adebayo has seen his game evolve over the years, but the raw counting numbers always seem to end up in the same range.

The shot diet has improved, opting to take a step back and favor triples last season over long 2’s (68% of his career 3PA came last season), and he posted a career-high in assist-to-turnover rate with Miami exploring with using him more of an offensive hub.

And yet: 18-19 points, 13-14 rebounds-plus-assists, 2 blocks-plus steals. Like always.

Tyler Herro (ankle) enters the season banged up and there are more than a few tough matchups over the first three weeks of the season. I don’t mind paying the third round draft capital for Adebayo now, but I’m not forcing the issue (I’d rather explore the upside of players like Josh Giddey or Amen Thompson in this range) because I think there’s a chance I can get him at a fifth round value in a trade before Thanksgiving.
