Carter Bryant’s Athletic Family: Meet the 2025 NBA Draft Prospect’s Multi-Sport Siblings

Carter Bryant's family is filled with athletic talent, from his NBA Draft prospects to his multi-sport sisters Cydnee and Carsyn Bryant excelling in basketball and volleyball.

Carter Bryant didn’t play much in his only season with the Arizona Wildcats, which limited his college stats. Still, that didn’t stop the highly touted freshman from showcasing flashes of NBA-level potential. In fact, he’s widely projected as a first-round pick in the upcoming 2025 NBA Draft and has officially declared he is “completely in” on the draft process.

Bryant hails from a family with strong ties to basketball, and he isn’t the only child of his father to follow down this road. One of his siblings is a multi-sport athlete who plays both basketball and volleyball. Here’s a closer look at Bryant’s family and siblings.

Meet Carter Bryant’s Siblings: Cydnee, Carsyn, and Lincoln Bryant

Carter was born on November 26, 2005, to Sabrina Torres and D’Cean Bryant. He has two sisters, Cydnee Bryant and Carsyn Bryant, and a brother, Lincoln, who is less than four years old.

Both of Bryant’s sisters are volleyball players. Cydnee, the elder sister, also plays basketball. She is still in high school and will graduate in 2026. Cydnee primarily plays middle blocker in volleyball and center in basketball and was recently named the IE Varsity Girls Athlete of the Year for the 2024-25 school year.

She transferred from Sage Hill in the middle of the season and still managed to average 3.1 kills per set while leading the team with a .450 attacking percentage. While playing basketball, Cydnee averaged a mind-boggling 21.7 points and 16.8 rebounds per game and rose to No. 37 in the ESPN/HoopGurlz Class of 2026 rankings.

A Family Committed to Multi-Sport Excellence

Cydnee plans to continue playing both sports in college and has even received offers from some programs to do so. She has made official visits to Oregon, Rutgers, and Kansas State so far.

“That is my goal and a lot of schools out there are willing to give me a chance to do that,” Cydnee said about playing both sports.

Meanwhile, the youngest sister, Carsyn, plays volleyball at Centennial High School and is part of the Class of 2028. Limited information is available about her athletic career, as well as about their mother’s professional background.

Bryant’s father, D’Cean, however, is a former college basketball player who played 114 games over four seasons for Long Beach State in the 1990s. He averaged 8.1 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per game.

D’Cean later transitioned to coaching and worked as an assistant coach at Riverside’s King High School. He later became an assistant for Orange Lutheran before taking up the head coach position at Fountain Valley (Calif.) High School.

D’Cean will be the head coach of Grand Island Public Schools starting in 2025. He previously held the same position at Sage Hill School in Newport Coast, where he led the team to four California Southern Section titles, further highlighting the deep-rooted sports background that has helped shape Carter’s rise as an NBA prospect.
